*Network Engineer*
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy functional networks (e.g. LAN, VLAN, WAN)
- Plan and lead network projects for network installation and upgrade
- Responsible for all network data transport (Layer 3 and below) and overall network traffic routing
- Manage IP address space allocation and track IP address permanent assignments
- Create and implement network security measures (access authentication, STIG implementation, etc.)
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain firewalls.
- Monitor syslog events and implement changes to improve security posture.
- Work with systems administrators, cyber security officers and CNDSP
- Assist cyber security officers to collect and report information required during RMF A&A activities.
- Conduct regular network performance tests.
- Resolve escalated network support issues and document resolution
- Research and analyze new network technologies and present suggestions for upgrades for network improvement
- Primary contact point for resolution of network and operating system issues
- Build standardized operating system images
- Install, configure, maintain, and migrate computer and network operating system and application software in on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments
- Perform and manage solutions relating to systems, networks and host-based security infrastructure to enforce compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and complex problem resolution to local and remote system users
At least 5+ years of experience in:
- Working with Cisco routers and switches
- Firewall deployment, configuration, and migration
- Working knowledge of virtualization and cloud platforms, services, architectures/ designs, and best practices
- DNS server configuration experience
- VDI technologies (Citrix XenApp/VDA, MS RDS, VMware, etc.)
- Networking: TCP/IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching, and Firewalls
- Scripting/Automation (PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, Perl, etc.…)
- Working experience with Linux OSs

- Active TS/SCI Clearance w/CI Poly
