About
Rogers Law Group, LLC, is seeking an associate attorney to support busy practice. We are a boutique firm specializing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, adoption, and domestic violence. Additional practice areas include, but are not limited to, guardianship, CINA, simple wills and appeals.
Preferred applicants will have excellent research, writing and litigation skills License to practice law in Alaska or a valid license in another state and the ability to become license in Alaska required. The perfect applicant does not need to have experience in family or criminal law but does need to want to learn these fields. This attorney will have an opportunity to work directly with clients and assume major responsibilities for cases. The ideal person will have a love for litigation and the ability on their feet. Our office is located in Fairbanks but we represent Alaskans statewide and often appear in other courts.

*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough legal research across multiple practice areas to support case strategies and legal opinions
* Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence with clarity and accuracy
* Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, negotiations, and client meetings
* Support case management by organizing files, maintaining detailed records, and tracking deadlines
* Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel to help achieve favorable outcomes for clients
* Stay informed about current laws and regulations relevant to estate planning, environmental issues, immigration policies, landlord-tenant disputes, family law cases, securities regulations, workers' compensation claims, personal injury claims, tribal laws, patent applications, and litigation procedures
* Collaborate effectively within the law office team to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional client service
*Experience*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required; admission to the state bar preferred
* Strong research skills
* Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents
* Experience with legal drafting and administrative tasks within a busy law office environment
* Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
