Team Overview: The Network Services Backbone team is responsible for the delivery of highly available and high performing campus and data center networks, in support of Edward Jones clients, Financial Advisors, and home-office personnel. This includes operational and maintenance activities, as well as research, design and implementation responsibilities. What You'll Do:
Working with BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS, EPVN, VXLAN, Firewalls, and WAN technologies. Providing support with Cloud IaaS with MS Azure. Cloud automation, including experience with Python, and Terraform. Knowledge and experience in other areas of Digital Technology (security, computing, operating systems, application infrastructure and development, etc.) will help you adapt to the business acumen of the area. Immerse yourself with Edward Jones's digital transformation environment by following Agile and Scrum best practices. Investigate complex network related issues to resolution. Analyze requirements and develop and deploy technical solutions according to business objectives. Analyze requirements, determine feasibility, costs, benefits, etc., and subsequently develop and present a business case / recommendation Align Digital Technology and Firm objectives, and provide strategic direction and technical leadership Mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment What Experience You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or related work experience 7+ years of experience working with enterprise network solutions (HW and SW defined networks, routing, switching, firewall, application load balancing, wireless, DNS, monitoring, and packet analysis) What Could Set You Apart:
Experience with IaC preferred. Experience with Fortinet firewalls preferred **Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026.
