05/18/2026 Job ID: R0278845 As a Solutions Architect at Wegmans, you will be responsible for designs and oversight of applications for your assigned team(s).
This work includes ensuring that the application implementations under your influence are uniform, properly perform, and that the developed solutions are within enterprise direction.
You will also be responsible for meeting Wegmans architectural and quality expectations with the software developed.
Some knowledge about assigned applicable business processes is required. What will I do? Collaborate with development team to design solutions to fit our enterprise application architecture; identify necessary modifications to accommodate project needs Communicate high level designs to Software Engineers and senior leadership and advise on how business decisions will impact design results Validate all application architecture design and analysis work; help development groups integrate or build software to have continuous effectiveness, Develop models to guide application decisions for the enterprise and ensure all standards and design artifacts are documented and managed by their respective teams Advocate the use of proper coding techniques, development processes, and automated CI/CD/Test infrastructure, and collaborate to design and ensure consistency of architectural feature design Assist with breaking down feature ideas into stories consumable by development teams Assist and advise on the evaluation and selection of software product/tools, and the design of standard software configurations Translate business needs into application architecture requirements; estimate the technical impact of application architecture alternatives Support development needs throughout the software development lifecycle (secure coding best practices, SDLC changes, remediation plans and tool training) Stay relevant with cutting-edge industry practices, champion the adoption of innovative practices and grow our internal technical community Required Qualifications 5 or more years of experience in application development including at least three years at the Senior level Experience applying design best practices, patterns and principles in modeling and software development work Experience with multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments Ability to advise and impact business decisions Knowledge of application development methodologies Leadership skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field At Wegmans, we’ve always believed we can achieve our goals only if we first fulfill the needs of our people.
