A career as a Batch and domestic Payment product owner in the Payments team at National Bank means playing a key role in delivering secure, robust and reliable business capabilities for all domestic payment rails: TFE, EDI, BBE integrations, FSRB compliance, as well as related processes that are essential to banking operations.
Your job
- Participate in work related to Payments Canada rules, standards and guidelines, including FSRB developments, to ensure technical and operational compliance.
- Contribute to modernisation exercises (e.g., migrations to new services, National Bank integration, EFT/EDI transformation).
- Work closely with the Architecture and Security teams to ensure the robustness, resilience and compliance of payment solutions.
- Work with other Batch and domestic Payment POs, as well as all it, OPS and regulatory partners, to ensure end-to-end consistency of solutions, compliance with Payments Canada's national requirements and operational efficiency across the organisation.
- Continuously make improvements and corrections to the product to enhance the experience to meet current and future needs.
Your team
In the Personal Banking and Client experience sector, you are part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate on an ongoing basis with POs and specialists TFE, EDI, Bill pay, ACSS, IT & OPS teams, external partners (e.g. Payments Canada) and several squads on the train.

Basic requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience
- Experience delivering solutions as a product owner (PO)
- Knowledge of Canadian payment frameworks or rules (ACSS/SACR, FSRB, Payments Canada guidelines) an important asset
- Experience in a highly regulated field (payments, banking, financial services)
- Excellent communication and ability to influence
- Ability to work in a complex environment, with several stakeholders, and make informed decisions quickly
