Skills and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related technical discipline 10+ years of experience developing embedded software for microcontroller-based systems Strong proficiency in embedded C programming Experience working directly with target hardware, lab equipment, and debugging tools Background developing safety-critical software (DO-178C, DO-254, or similar standards preferred) Experience with FPGA development or VHDL programming Ability to support PCB-level troubleshooting and hardware interaction Experience with design for manufacture (DFM) and design for test (DFT) principles Strong system-level problem-solving, prioritization, and technical documentation skills Key Responsibilities Design and implement embedded C software for avionics and power-system applications on microcontroller and FPGA platforms Develop software supporting cockpit displays, navigation references, sensor xywuqvp integration, and battery management systems Research and evaluate emerging components and technologies for integration into new product designs Prototype, test, and validate systems to meet regulatory, performance, and safety requirements Support manufacturing, calibration, and verification tooling for production environments Troubleshoot hardware/software interactions using lab instrumentation and test equipment Produce engineering documentation including BOMs, ECOs, verification artifacts, and work instructions
