Zurich, BerlinContractFull timeJob CategoryTHE ROLE AND THE TEAM:We are seeking a talented and innovative Data Scientist to join our DigitalInsights & Analytics Team. DIA is responsible for providing insight andadvice to Zalando regarding the efficacy and optimisation of the ZalandoeCommerce Platform. The ideal candidate will therefore specialise in usinggraph theory, sequence modelling and other data mining techniques, advancedstatistical modelling, analysis, and data visualisation techniques tounderstand, and enhance the user journeys our customers undertake. Yourinsights will play a crucial role in improving user experience, increasingcustomer satisfaction, and driving business growth.WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED:Customer Journey Understanding: Utilise graph theory, sequencemodelling and other state of the art data mining techniques to map out thecustomer journey across our e-commerce website, identifying key nodes,pathways, and customer behaviours.Advanced Statistical Modelling and Visualization: Analyse largedatasets and leverage state of the art statistical modelling to uncoverinsights into customer behaviour, preferences, and pain points. Createclear, compelling visualisations to communicate these findings.Predictive Modelling: Develop models to predict customerbehaviours, preferences, and potential future pathways.Optimization Strategies: Provide recommendations for websitedesign and navigation improvements based on customer journey analysis.Collaboration: Work closely with the UX/UI design team,marketing, and product management to implement changes based on yourinsights.Reporting: Regularly present findings and progress tostakeholders in a clear, accessible manner.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Educational Background: Master’s degree or Ph.D in DataScience, Statistics, Computer Science, economics or a related field ORequivalent experience.Experience: 8+ years experience in data science, with a focus on customerjourney analysis, high dimensional statistics, graph data mining, orrelated areas.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and its data analysislibraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn). Experience with large-scale graphand sequence analysis tools is a plus (e.g. Neo4j).
