Title: Senior Accountant

Compensation: 45-52/hr DOE 

• Review expense-related contracts and agreements, verifying the accuracy of purchase order coding to ensure compliance with established accounting policies and expense recognition principles.
• Partner closely with internal accounting teams, including asset, liability, and revenue functions, to ensure appropriate accounting assessments for purchase order–related transactions.
• Prepare detailed accounting analyses and maintain thorough documentation to support conclusions related to contract reviews and PO coding decisions.
• Collaborate with business requestors, sourcing partners, and financial analysts to identify, investigate, and resolve coding discrepancies or related issues.
• Apply professional judgment and adhere to accounting standards while maintaining strong documentation practices to ensure accounting entries are accurately recorded, supported, and communicated.
• Evaluate, document, and enhance desk procedures and process flows, with a focus on strengthening internal controls and improving operational efficiency.
• Contribute to special projects and perform additional accounting duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, consistent with a senior accountant level.
• Hands-on accounting background with exposure to multiple accounting areas; experience interpreting and applying accounting guidance and standards.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle general ledger accounting and U.S. GAAP, with demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and articulate accounting concepts clearly.

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
