About this Job: Medstar Health is looking for a Diagnostic Technologist to join our team! This is a full-time 36 hours per week position that will be a 3- 12 hr. shifts day/evening including a Saturday and/or Sunday We are looking fora registered Radiology Technologist with excellent communication skills. The Diagnostic Technologist will make a difference on our team by performing diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation. Apply today and learn how MedStar Health can be your next great career move! Primary Duties: * Acquires ordered images including evaluating these images for tec hnical quality. Sends images to appropriate destinations for interpretation. * Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance regularly. * Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. Transports patients to radiographic room and prepares and maintains room. * Performs radiographic examinations. Prepares written documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. * Requests and will order supplies. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED. * Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in the State of Maryland. * Basic Life Support (BLS). * Associate degree preferred. This position has a hiring range of : USD $29.73 - USD $48.63 /Hr.
