*Job Overview*
Team Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our Children's Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech therapy, particularly within school settings, and will be responsible for assessing and treating communication disorders in children. This role requires a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support the developmental needs of our patients.
*Duties*
* Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, and communication skills in pediatric patients.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and specific needs.
* Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to improve communication abilities.
* Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to integrate speech therapy goals into the educational setting.
* Provide early intervention strategies for children with speech and language delays.
* Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and effective strategies for improvement.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
* Stay current with advancements in speech pathology practices and medical terminology relevant to the field.
*Requirements*
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
* Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Pathologist.
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production.
* Experience working in school settings is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and early intervention practices.
* Familiarity with medical terminology associated with speech therapy.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
