We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and maintained to the highest standards. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, patient care, and aseptic techniques, along with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
* Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
* Collect and document data related to patient care and surgical outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean operating environment.
* Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgery.
* Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including suturing when necessary.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of medical records.
* Stay current with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices related to surgical care.
*Skills*
* *Graduate of accredited school of Surgical Technology.*
* Minimum of 1 year perioperative experience.
* *CST certification required. *
* BLS required from AHA or Red Cross.
* Proficient in data collection and analysis skills relevant to surgical procedures.
* Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing principles and acute care settings.
* Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control measures.
