The manager will think outside the box, making recommendations and decisions on project schedules to avoid cost overruns and missed commitments. The position requires applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle to ensure software standards are met.
Responsibilities
Lead agile teams of LM Aero software engineers on the F‑35 CRT product.
Coordinate employee work assignments, program staffing, performance assessment, salary, recruitment, selection, training, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Make recommendations and decisions on project schedules to avoid cost overruns and missed commitments.
Apply and enforce appropriate software development standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
Establish and execute a strategic plan to drive execution of F‑35 software products, forecast execution, guide metrics generation, and maximize tools, processes, and product commonality between Aero programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience with design, development and/or test of Software Systems.
Experience with LM Standard Software development processes.
Knowledge of DevSecOps Methodologies, software pipelines, and modern software development practices and technologies.
Knowledge of Agile Software Development and SCRUM Process.
At least 3 years of technical leadership experience with increasing responsibility and a minimum of 8 years overall experience in software design, development, and/or test.
Track record for leading a team to higher levels of performance through evolving tools and methods.
Software estimating experience with LM process experience (desired).

Position requires a government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required for consideration.
