Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced *Sous Chef* to join our culinary leadership team. The Sous Chef plays a key role in daily kitchen operations, supporting the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional food quality, maintaining high standards, and leading a motivated team in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations
* Lead, mentor, and inspire line cooks and prep staff
* Ensure consistent execution of seasonal, locally inspired menus
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
* Support menu development, costing, and inventory management
* Uphold food safety and sanitation standards (FoodSafe certification required)
* Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a high-quality restaurant
* Strong knowledge of seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine
* Proven leadership and team development skills
* Solid understanding of food costing, inventory, and kitchen systems
* Exceptional communication skills
* Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Culinary diploma or equivalent professional experience preferred
* Valid FoodSafe certification
