Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Tech (CT) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within the Radiology/Imaging department. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT and radiographic imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for a diverse patient population. You will work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment. The Radiology Tech (CT) is responsible for preparing and positioning patients for CT examinations, verifying patient identity and exam orders, and selecting appropriate technical factors and protocols to obtain optimal images while adhering to ALARA principles and radiation safety standards. You will operate advanced CT scanners and related equipment, including contrast injectors and monitoring devices, and will be responsible for safely administering IV contrast agents in accordance with established policies, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and communicating any changes in condition to the care team. This position requires strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, basic pathology, and CT imaging techniques to ensure accurate image acquisition and the ability to recognize and correct common artifacts or technical issues. You will document procedures, patient histories, and contrast usage accurately in the electronic medical record and imaging systems, and ensure all studies are properly labeled, transmitted, and archived through PACS and associated radiology information systems. You will play a key role in delivering an excellent patient experience by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing reassurance to patients and their families. The Radiology Tech (CT) will help maintain a safe and orderly imaging environment by following infection control and safety protocols, assisting with room turnover and equipment cleanliness, and reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Collaboration and communication are essential, as you will coordinate exam schedules, prioritize urgent or STAT requests, and support colleagues to maintain efficient workflow. At Baylor Scott & White Health, you will be part of a leading not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas that is dedicated to improving patient care through integrated services and advanced medical practices. Our culture emphasizes caring, collaboration, and innovation, and we strive to foster an inclusive workplace where every team member contributes to enhancing patient experiences. As a Radiology Tech (CT), you will have opportunities for professional growth through ongoing education, cross-training, and exposure to a broad range of clinical cases, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging. This is an on-site clinical position that may require rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as participation in on-call coverage to support 24/7 imaging services. Candidates should be comfortable working in an acute care environment, responding to emergent situations, assisting with trauma and critically ill patients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure scenarios. Baylor Scott & White Health offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, which may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, retirement savings options such as a 401(k), paid time off, and access to professional development resources. Joining our team means contributing to transformative healthcare services in a supportive and innovative environment where your skills in CT imaging will directly impact patient outcomes and quality of care.
