Work Arrangement
Employees who live within 30 miles of the TMG home office are expected to follow a hybrid or in‑office schedule. The initial training period may require additional in‑office days.
Accountabilities Actuarial Tool Development
Design and develop internal tools and frameworks that streamline actuarial workflows and data preparation.
Build scalable applications that provide standardized access to actuarial datasets.
Develop applications that integrate actuarial tools with cloud data platforms and analytics environments.
Partner closely with actuaries, data science and finance teams to enable tooling and data access for pricing, reserving, forecasting and other analytics.
Automation of Actuarial Processes
Lead the definition and adoption of best practices for end-to-end analytical data process flow.
Document process standards, architectural patterns, and reusable frameworks to promote consistency and reduce duplication of effort.
Support experimentation with emerging AI capabilities in process flow design.
Embed data quality checks, reconciliation logic, and validation rules into analytical processes to support a high level of data governance and accuracy.
Ensure data solutions support high data volumes, complex transformations, and evolving analytical needs.
Technical Leadership
Serve as a technical leader within the actuarial and analytics team.
Define standards for automation, tool development, and quality across analytical initiatives.
Partner with actuarial leadership to identify opportunities to modernize workflows.
Mentor junior teammates and contribute to a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
5 to 8 years of data engineering experience with cloud-based data environment experience preferred.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
Experience building automation tools or analytical frameworks.
Experience with modern data warehousing and ETL tools.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail & data accuracy.
Experience working with P&C insurance data preferred.
Familiarity with actuarial data and concepts preferred.
Pay Range
$115,500 - $160,000 annual base salary depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
