Supports Sales Consultant for prospecting and all business acquisition tasks (Benefits Quote Requests, account worksheets, certificate and SPD review, WebBen system creation and maintenance, group reporting, etc.). Organizes and coordinates details related to successful group implementation with internal departments and distribution channels. Mines and logs information related to Sales in Goldmine and other resources as directed. Maintains knowledge of healthcare environment, MMO product, and processes and keeps an active Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) license. Provides critical analytical support for 51+ sized, high‑profile clients in a fast‑paced environment. Serves as a conduit to funnel important information through the company from RFPs, client, broker or consultant perspectives. Initiates projects, reviews benefits, GEO access reports, disruption analyses, and monitors progress to completion. Provides guidance to other Sales Support Coordinators and is trained on complex RFPs, including major accounts/1000+ formal RFPs. Interacts with clients, brokers, consultants, internal departments, and vendors to resolve elevated RFP‑process issues. Follows the entire formal RFP process and available products, navigates secure portals, verifies reporting accuracy, and documents findings. Assists Sales Consultant as needed in the field to present basic information, benefit review, and implementation paperwork. Recommends process/procedure updates to avoid repeating problems and assists in creating a smooth transition for clients and brokers. Supports corporate initiatives and directives by releasing communications, reporting, and tracking customer feedback. Attends implementation meetings, presents information before large groups, conducts training, and deploys new processes with talking points. Mentors and develops sales support coordinators and account coordinators for the service team across the state. Maintains awareness of product, process changes, industry trends and regulatory changes; participates in staff meetings, trainings, and webinars. Participates in process improvement committees and conducts statewide training for all Sales Support Coordinators. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; experience, training and education considered. 4 years support experience in a financial services, health insurance, customer service or related environment. Professional Certification(s)
Accident & Health License with Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) (required to obtain within 4 months of hire). Technical Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of health insurance products and sales and service operations (underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design, funding). Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Solid knowledge base of underwriting rating principals, funding arrangements and renewal developments. Benefits and Compensation
