Salary & Benefits The pay range is $75,400.00 – $135,700.00.
Pay is based on several factors which vary depending on position, including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the Team Roundel Media Studio is Target’s ad‑campaign management platform that enables external companies to create, manage and optimize advertising campaigns with Target. As a self‑service application, it allows advertisers to independently run product ad campaigns through the platform, reducing reliance on internal teams and expanding scalable campaign management capabilities.
Position Overview This role supports Roundel Media Studio as a technical specialist delivering engineering that powers the product. You will develop technical architecture and design, deliver robust and scalable software components, solve engineering problems, balance speed of delivery with quality, handle operational issues with minimal oversight, review code for quality and participate in design discussions.
Core Responsibilities
Provide input to evaluate new technologies and contribute to design, lifecycle management and cost of ownership of services.
Conduct research and proof‑of‑concept initiatives for new technologies; assist with code and design reviews.
Deliver high‑performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables.
Participate in structured construction, automation, debugging and implementation activities, ensuring architectural and operational requirements and best practices are met.
Plan and execute disaster recovery activities and participate in functional integration and regression testing.
Resolve frequently encountered technical issues and monitor system capacity with minimal assistance.
Search and understand metadata about various data sources and metrics.
Adhere to change and incident management standards and expectations.

About You
4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
1+ years of software development experience.
Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility and ability to apply these technologies.
Understands concepts of package solutions and package‑specific programming language with knowledge of development objects.
Demonstrates and continuously builds upon domain‑specific knowledge.
Demonstrates proficiency in at least one programming language.
Understands the concepts of distributed programming and applies it to their domain.
Knowledge of the different data structures in chosen programming language and how to apply them.
Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise.
Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self‑directed education.
Technical Skillset
Experience with Java/J2EE and REST API development.
Experience developing microservices/application frameworks (Spring Boot); mono‑repo preferred.
Experience with NoSQL or relational databases.
Experience with development testing frameworks (JUnit/Mockito).
Experience with open‑source logging and reporting solutions: Logstash, Elasticsearch, Grafana/Kibana.
Knowledge of messaging and event systems such as Kafka is a plus.
Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills for technical audiences.
Experience working on a DevOps model.
Good interpersonal, problem‑solving, reasoning and analytical skills.
Experience with CI/CD technologies.
Work Arrangement This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement. Core duties will be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location and virtually, depending upon role, team and tasks. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
