Overview Ready to join Hack The Box as a Staff Performance Data Analyst. You will be the analytical engine behind client relationships, using data to prove the ROI of our cybersecurity training platform. You will navigate complex datasets using SQL and Python to uncover how training impacts human risk and present insights to executive-level stakeholders.

Fully Remote
The Fellowship Role sits on the Federal Sales team, reporting to the SVP of Global Federal & SLED. The team includes account executives and collaborates with BDRs, Solutions Engineers, and Customer Success. The role works closely with the Data Engineering team.

Responsibilities
Strategic Client Consultation: Partner with stakeholders in Federal agencies to translate security compliance needs into data-driven success plans.
Translate business requirements from senior USG leadership into technical data solutions.
ROI Modeling & Data Storytelling: Use Python and SQL to extract and manipulate large datasets, identifying correlations between training engagement and reductions in security incidents; create dashboards and presentations to showcase ROI and performance metrics.
Data Visualization: Create data visualizations for various USG levels (Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Actionable Behavioral Insights: Perform deep-dive analysis on user behavior and simulation logs to identify high-risk cohorts; provide tailored recommendations to optimize training curricula based on engagement metrics.
Data Integrity: Maintain data hygiene by auditing the flow of training logs from the platform to the reporting layer; utilize Excel for rapid prototyping of financial models and ad-hoc risk analysis.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) presenting the client’s security evolution and collaborate with Product and Data Engineering to meet reporting needs.
Qualifications
Technical Mastery
Data Manipulation: Expert-level SQL or Snowflake; experience with Python for data cleaning, automation, and statistical analysis.
Visualization: Proficient in Looker or other visualization tools to create executive views and operational reports.
Tools: High proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, modeling).
Soft Skills & Storytelling
Strong communication: Explain technical data to senior leaders clearly and persuasively.
Presentation: Build slide decks that tell a cohesive story focusing on mission impact and risk.
Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations across departments.
Domain Expertise
Client Success & Marketing: Understanding churn, adoption, engagement funnels, and learning metrics.
Industry Context: Familiarity with ed tech; experience with client success metrics is a plus.
Benefits
Base Salary: USD 150,000 - 180,000
