Your RoleAs our Nursery Chef, you will play a vital role in:
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting age-appropriate meals that meet the highest standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
- Collaborating with the nursery team and parents to enhance the overall care and educational experience for our children.
- Keeping accurate records of supplies and managing orders while adhering to budget requirements.

As our Nursery Chef, you will:
- Ensure the kitchen is a clean and safe environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Prepare and cook enough age-appropriate food daily, minimizing waste.
- Communicate dietary requirements clearly to the team.
- Work in partnership with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating.
- Plan food orders carefully to meet budgetary requirements.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- A solid understanding of managing dietary requirements and food allergies (essential).
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations (essential).
- Experience working within a catering budget (essential).
- Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
- Fluency in written and spoken English (GCSE grade C or equivalent, essential).
- A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
