Our mission is to foster growth and help each individual reach their transitional milestones in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.

Position Overview

We are excited to invite applications for a full-time One-to-One Teaching Assistant role. This position is term-time only, working Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 . While primarily based at our Horsham site, you may also support students at local PE venues and college settings.

Your Responsibilities

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Headteacher and class teachers to align with our therapeutic approach.
  • Support pupils in both group and individual settings by:
    • Clarifying and explaining instructions.
    • Ensuring effective use of equipment and materials.
    • Motivating and encouraging students with personalized attention.
    • Assisting in areas such as speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, and handwriting.
  • Utilize praise and constructive feedback to keep students engaged and focused.
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals regarding Individual Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
  • Provide additional nurture and support as requested.
  • Implement agreed behavior management strategies consistently.
  • Establish supportive relationships with students to promote inclusion and interaction.
  • Monitor and adapt learning activities to meet intended outcomes.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • A Level 3 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by students with Emotional, Behavioral, or Social needs.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
  • Desirable: Experience in a specialist educational environment.
Working Conditions

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract , offering a competitive salary ranging from £20,422 to £21,111.51 . Enjoy the rewarding experience of working in a supportive and dynamic environment dedicated to the growth of our students.
