Residential Support Worker

We’re looking for enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in beautiful Bournemouth!

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Provide flexible and individualized care packages for our children and young adults.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team that values your unique contributions.
• Receive training in 'Developmental Trauma' and therapeutic parenting to enhance your ability to support our young people effectively.

• Engage with children and young people, understanding the challenges they face.
• Work a rotating shift pattern, including 7 x 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of our young people.
• Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
• Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.

• Experience working with children and young people, particularly in care settings.
• Flexibility in your availability for shifts.
• A willingness to pursue qualifications such as the Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• A commitment to learning and teamwork.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (which we will cover).
• Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!

• A competitive salary: £33,349.58 for unqualified staff and up to £35,935.36 for qualified staff, including sleep-in shifts.
• A sleep-in allowance of £64 per night.
