We are looking for a
Business Data Analytics Intern . Work directly with the CEO, CFO, and other senior leaders at a brand-name company with a headquarters 10 minutes from UNL campus. This part-time role focuses on improving data organization and creating predictive models to identify market growth opportunities across all product and service lines. Once trained, the right candidate will organize data and build predictive models to understand current economic conditions and forecast outcomes across varying scenarios, including shifts in supply and demand, manufacturing, tariffs, and competitive activity. We seek candidates with an advanced understanding of mathematics, statistics, predictive modeling techniques, and an intellectual curiosity to turn complex data sets into probable outcomes given different actions. The role will collaborate with accounting and finance teams and present findings to the executive team. It is a great opportunity to apply classroom theory to real-life challenges while networking and receiving coaching from executive-level professionals connected across the region. Responsibilities
Organize data and build predictive models to identify market growth opportunities across all lines of products and services. Analyze current economic conditions and forecast outcomes under different scenarios (e.g., shifts in supply and demand, manufacturing, tariffs, and competitive activity). Collaborate with accounting and finance teams and present findings to the executive team. Apply mathematical and statistical methods to turn complex data into actionable insights. Qualifications
Advanced understanding of mathematics and statistics, including predictive modeling techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity about data-driven decision making. Ability to translate complex data into probable outcomes under various courses of action. Initially a paid short-term, project-based role with potential to develop into a regular part-time internship. Some work may be done remotely, with occasional presence at our headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.
