Position Responsibilities:
Obtain job assignments from LSDI and prioritize work accordingly, retrieving parts from dollies as needed.
Review CMES and access online systems to determine work requirements, verify operation/production information, and ensure parts match work orders.
Retrieve, download, and verify the most current Numerical Control (NC) programs on machine controllers from various servers/databases.
Independently set up, operate , and adjust multi-axis NC drilling machines using program documents and control media; perform hole preparation, drilling, countersinking, and other machine-adapted tasks.
Select, inspect, and maintain drills per program specifications, ensuring correct type, size, and condition; replace as necessary.
Monitor machine operation for unusual vibrations, sounds, and warning indicators; notify supervisors of malfunctions.
Check and maintain fluid levels and work supports; adjust machine buttons and clamps to secure parts properly.
Load parts with correct indexing, visually inspect during and after operations, and perform self-inspections with +A stamp approval.
Use precision measuring tools (e.g., dial calipers, pin gauges) and perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) functions to ensure parts meet production specifications.
Access and utilize control charts and online computer systems to verify part conformity and log production data into machine memory.
Verify machine-generated Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) tape data against specifications.
Train and assist other employees on NC programs, control charts, tools, and procedures.
Consult with management, programming, planning, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
Record operating data as required and perform tool try-outs and first part checks.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with company and governmental regulations.
Maintain personal and tool certifications as required .
Communicate machine adjustments and setup information to less experienced employees.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120. 62 is required . “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
