Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of software engineers, promoting a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable e‑commerce solutions using Microsoft .NET and React.
Act as a hands‑on technologist, contributing to code and architecture decisions across multiple technology stacks.
Proven leadership abilities in AI Engineering and organizational transformation.
Lead one or more agile development teams and take responsibility for team performance and project deliverables.
Implement and champion agile methodologies to improve team productivity and product quality.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals.
Leverage cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance engineering capabilities.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5‑10 years of hands‑on engineering management experience.
Minimum of 10+ years of architecture and software development experience.
Cross‑functional leadership experience — working with executives, product, marketing, and operations at a strategic level.
Experience leading platform migrations, re‑platforming efforts, or large‑scale modernization initiatives.
Excellent management skills with a focus on building a positive team culture.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.
AI experience and ability to lead the developers to adopt AI capabilities, such as Claude, Codex, etc.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing strategies.
Budget ownership or P&L experience.
Track record of recruiting, hiring, and retaining top engineering talent.
Experience with system integrations (ERPs, PIMs, OMS, payment gateways) in e‑commerce.
Familiarity with security best practices, compliance requirements, or data privacy standards relevant to e‑commerce (PCI‑DSS, for example).
Proven experience in e‑commerce platforms and solutions.
Strong expertise in Microsoft .NET technology stack and React.
Familiarity with multiple technology stacks and ability to adapt quickly.
Demonstrated experience as an agile practitioner.
Hands‑on technologist mindset with a passion for coding and technical leadership.
Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
Remote work with 25% or less travel required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment This position may require over 40 hours per week and includes regular physical activity such as:
Primarily sedentary work, requiring extended periods of sitting while working at a computer.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through virtual collaboration tools.
Occasional standing, walking, and movement during meetings, site visits, or travel.
Ability to lift and carry light materials (up to 15 lbs) occasionally, such as a laptop or presentation materials.
Ability to travel periodically for business needs, including visiting distribution centers, suppliers, stores, or industry events.
Office environment includes standard business equipment such as computers, phones, and conferencing tools.
