About

PruittHealth is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As an Occupational Therapist with PruittHealth, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy services to patients in need of rehabilitation and support to achieve their highest level of functional independence. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions focused on improving activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognition, and safety within the home and community. In this role, you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary care team including nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, physicians, social workers, and case managers to ensure coordinated, holistic care. You will educate patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, use of assistive devices, energy conservation, and home safety modifications to promote long-term success and reduce risk of rehospitalization. You will document all assessments, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge plans accurately and timely in the electronic medical record in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Working at PruittHealth means joining a family-owned organization dedicated to providing high quality health care services across the Southeastern U.S. You will be part of an inclusive culture grounded in dignity, respect, and compassion, where patient care is at the center of every decision. PruittHealth encourages professional growth through ongoing training, mentorship, and career development opportunities, giving you the support and resources needed to expand your clinical skills and advance your career in occupational therapy. The ideal candidate is a licensed Occupational Therapist with strong clinical reasoning skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for working with diverse patient populations, including older adults and individuals with complex medical and functional needs. You should be comfortable managing a caseload, prioritizing patient needs, and adapting treatment plans as conditions change. A commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical care, and regulatory compliance is essential. This position typically functions in a hybrid environment that may include skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation settings, and community or home health environments depending on patient needs and service line. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team are key. In return, PruittHealth offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patientsโ€™ lives every day, while benefiting from a supportive work environment, comprehensive training programs, and competitive compensation and benefits.
