About

LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered PHYSICAL THERAPIST-PRN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional healthcare organization in Maryland. In this per diem role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based physical therapy services across a continuum of care that may include acute care hospitals, specialty centers, and community health settings. You will evaluate patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurologic, medical, and post-surgical conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that promote mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and support safe discharge and community reintegration. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals, you will contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, setting functional goals in partnership with patients and families, implementing appropriate manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs, providing gait and balance training, recommending assistive devices and durable medical equipment, and educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies. You will document all assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. As a PRN therapist, you will provide flexible coverage for weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on departmental needs, supporting census fluctuations and ensuring continuity of compassionate care. You will participate in clinical discussions, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives that align with LifeBridge Health’s commitment to collaboration, community engagement, and excellence in patient outcomes. This role is ideal for a physical therapist who values autonomy, professional variety, and the opportunity to impact diverse communities while maintaining a flexible schedule. LifeBridge Health offers a supportive environment that encourages professional development, continuing education, and career growth within a large, integrated health system dedicated to improving health and promoting well-being.
