Radiologic Technologist

Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a non-profit healthcare system based in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join its Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, the Radiologic Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Working in a patient-centered environment, this position is responsible for preparing and positioning patients, operating radiographic equipment, and ensuring images are of diagnostic quality while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control practices. The Radiologic Technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team to coordinate imaging services, communicate pertinent patient information, and respond to changing clinical needs. Key responsibilities include verifying orders and patient identity, explaining procedures and obtaining cooperation, adjusting technical factors based on patient condition and body habitus, and ensuring proper use of protective shielding. The technologist documents procedures accurately in the electronic medical record, follows departmental workflows, and assists in maintaining equipment, supplies, and a clean, safe work environment.
