Nursery Chef

Are you passionate about cooking and nurturing young minds? We are excited to invite a dedicated Nursery Chef to join our vibrant team at Tiptree Day Nursery & Pre-School !

• Salary: £27,726 per annum
• Contract: Fixed term for 12 months (with permanent options available)
• Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

Located in the charming village of Tiptree, our nursery offers a safe and serene environment for children, with excellent transport links to Colchester Town Center, Witham, Maldon, and surrounding areas.

As our Nursery Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious, age-appropriate meals that delight our little ones. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals to the highest standards.
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborating with the nursery team and parents to support children's nutritional needs.
• Keeping accurate records of supplies and managing the kitchen budget.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A strong understanding of dietary requirements and food allergies.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Experience managing a catering budget.
• Relevant cooking qualifications and experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English (GCSE grade C or equivalent).
• A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
