Optical Network Engineer (Planning & Deployment)

Optical Network Engineer required to join a team focused on building and scaling a large, global optical network. This role is centred around planning, design, and deployment, but you’ll also be involved in troubleshooting during rollouts and early-life support.

• Designing and planning DWDM / optical transport networks
• Supporting network expansion and new deployments
• Troubleshooting issues during deployment and post-implementation
• Partnering with operations teams to transition builds into production
• Contributing to improvements in network design and scalability

• Strong experience with DWDM / OTN systems (essential)
• Background in network planning, design, or deployment
• Solid troubleshooting skills within optical networks
• Understanding of network architecture and scaling
• Experience delivering network projects or rollouts

• Experience with multi-vendor environments
• Exposure to large-scale or backbone networks
