Senior Front End Engineer

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Location: Galway (Hybrid)

Type: Contract (12 month)

Our client is looking to hire Front End Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with top-tier engineering talent to drive continuous integration/delivery, uphold engineering excellence, and deliver high-quality, maintainable software solutions.

• A minimum of 10 years\' overall development experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Angular experience across design, development, and testing.
• Solid practical experience with a number of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Node.js, NPM, Maven, Git, and REST.
• Several years of direct experience with AWS cloud technologies and services, including EC2, Lambdas, CloudWatch, S3, VPCs, and on-demand instances.
• Extensive hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working within a DevOps environment.
• Proven experience practising test automation across multiple levels — including unit, component, integration, and functional testing — alongside static code analysis and test-driven development.
• A strong appreciation for Agile methodologies within a Scrum context, backed by a deep understanding of the development lifecycle.
• A solid grasp of coding patterns and software engineering best practices.
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers on best practices and engineering excellence.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.

• The ability to act as a peer technical leader, coaching and mentoring colleagues, conducting code reviews, and helping shape the team's technical standards.
• Confidence representing the team\'s technical perspective at cross-squad and leadership forums.
• Strong communication skills and a customer centric mindset, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• A collaborative spirit, being able to thrive in team environments and actively contributing to how work gets done.
• A genuine enthusiasm for current and emerging technologies, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• A drive to embed strong engineering practices, including code and design reviews, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipeline development.
