Internal Auditor

Internal Auditor required for an award-winning multi-sector group. Sligo, Ireland. Permanent, full-time role with a competitive salary.

Qualification: Qualified Accountant. Function: Group-wide Audit Lead.

• Design and own the annual Internal Audit Plan, presenting directly to the Audit Committee based on your risk assessment.
• Plan and execute audit assignments across financial, operational, and technology controls, verifying compliance with group policy.
• Prepare and present formal audit reports and practical recommendations to senior and middle management.
• Lead the group's annual risk assessment and drive remediation follow-up to close identified control gaps.
• Partner with management to develop best-practice controls and lead or support key operational and system projects across the group.

• Fully qualified member of a recognised accountancy body.
• Background in audit at a large firm or internal audit in a large group.
• Confident presenting to and challenging senior management.
• Intellectually curious with commercial instinct and creative problem-solving.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.

• Own the entire audit function with real ownership, not a support role.
• Visibility at Audit Committee and board level from day one.
