This is a permanent direct-hire job opening for our customer which is a company located in Lake Orion that designs and manufactures industrial equipment and machinery.
Job Description As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing electrical controls plans and related hardware for industrial equipment and machinery. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting electrical panels and making modifications during the build phase as well as when the equipment is installed at customer facilities.
Responsibilities
Design electrical control panels and related hardware using AutoCad or E-Plan
Prepare electrical drawings for the systems and BOM (bill of material).
Work with the Panel Build team regularly to ensure panels and equipment are built accurately and efficiently.
Troubleshoot problems that occur during startup that are caused by incorrect drawings, and/or changes in customer desires, inaccurate instrumentation specifications, and/or other technical issues.
Willing and able to be travel infrequently for short durations for customer meetings, field checks, and/or installation support.
Qualifications
Experience designing electrical control panels for industrial machines.
Proficient in AutoCad or E-Plan software to design electrical control panels and related hardware
Knowledgeable in electrical design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design).
Experience with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
