Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, from proposal and planning through execution, delivery, and post-project review.
- Monitor and report on project progress, including technical updates, scope, schedule, and cost adherence.
- Design and develop mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Perform engineering calculations and specify components as needed.
- Lead internal and customer design reviews, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in communication.
- Work according to project plans and schedules as determined by the design lead.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Plan project tasks for yourself and any assigned resources, ensuring timely and quality completion.
- Adhere to all relevant quality standards, including revision control, documentation, and procedural compliance.
- Present designs in structured design reviews with clear and concise communication.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering professional growth within the department.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Travel as required for project execution and customer engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or an equivalent 3D CAD design package.
- Proven experience in executing mechanical design projects from concept to delivery, preferably in an automation environment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
