Role Summary An experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor is required to support project delivery across a range of engineering disciplines in Cork.
This role is central to ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
The successful candidate will work alongside multidisciplinary teams, support the implementation of EHS systems, and uphold the highest health and safety standards across active projects.
Key Responsibilities Provide ongoing support to the Health & Safety Manager across project operations.
Ensure all site personnel comply with site safety rules and internal EHS procedures.
Implement, manage, and maintain the companys Safety Management System and CMS System.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to the Project EHS Manager.
Identify EHS training needs and raise requirements with the EHS Manager.
Deliver Health & Safety inductions to staff and subcontractors.
Lead and participate in weekly toolbox talks.
Organise and chair Safety Meetings.
Review subcontractor Method Statements and Risk Assessments and assist where required.
Support the preparation of accident and incident investigation reports.
Complete and submit weekly EHS reports.
Carry out daily site walks and report hazards or non-compliances immediately.
Assist site teams with drafting Safe Plans of Action (SPA).
Skills & RequirementsEssential Relevant third-level qualification in EHS.
Minimum 35 years experience in a similar EHS Advisor role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational and planning abilities.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Full, clean driving licence.
Desired Experience working within the construction or engineering contracting sector.
