About

As our IT Manager, you will own and operate LEAP’s internal IT environment to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports engineering, manufacturing, and corporate operations. This role is responsible for everything from daily employee support to managing vendors and driving improvements that reduce operational friction as the company grows. This role is expected to be onsite for at least 4 out of 5 days per week.
Description Own Core Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner of LEAP’s internal IT environment
Provide hands‑on support across hardware, software, network, and SaaS platforms
Manage employee onboarding/offboarding technical setup
Maintain Microsoft 365 administration including permissions, security groups, and access controls
Manage devices including procurement, imaging, deployment, and lifecycle tracking
Maintain IT ticket workflow and response expectations
Own IT vendor and consultant relationships
Scope advanced technical work and manage external consultants where specialized expertise is required
Support cybersecurity baseline including MFA, endpoint protection, and access controls
Support compliance requirements related to government programs
Own IT readiness for government compliance frameworks including CMMC implementation, documentation, and audit preparation
IT documentation and system architecture records
Device inventory tracking
IT onboarding and offboarding procedures
Vendor performance tracking and cost management
Security and access control documentation
IT process SOPs
Incident documentation and resolution tracking
Impacts and Outcomes
Enables engineering and manufacturing teams to operate without technical friction
Reduces reliance on outside IT consultants over time
Establishes repeatable IT processes to support company growth
Improves security posture and risk management
Ensures systems reliability and employee productivity
Maintains compliance readiness for government work
Identifies infrastructure risks before they impact operations
Drives cost discipline across IT vendors and tools
Acts with clear ownership of IT decisions and execution
What You Bring to the Team
7+ years of IT experience with increasing ownership
Experience supporting internal business environments
Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Experience managing SaaS platforms and user access
Experience working with external vendors or consultants
Demonstrated ability to operate independently
Strong prioritization and problem solving ability
Clear communication with technical and non‑technical teams
Ability to work in a fast‑moving, high accountability environment
Non‑Negotiable Requirements Candidates must demonstrate most of the following:
Experience as the primary or most senior IT owner at a company
Experience supporting compliance environments such as ITAR, NIST, CMMC, or SOC2
Experience supporting at a 30+ employee environment
Experience supporting security or compliance requirements
Experience supporting technical teams such as engineering or manufacturing
Candidates whose experience is limited to helpdesk support without ownership responsibility will not be considered.
Bonus Points
Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
Experience building IT processes from scratch
Experience supporting high growth startups
Experience with Azure or cloud environments
Relevant technical certifications
Compensation Salary Range:
$135,000.00 – 165,000.00
The estimated salary range for this role reflects various compensation factors. The final offer depends on factors such as work experience, education, training, key skills, and business needs.

Equity plan participation is available to all employees following an initial 90‑day employment period and is performance‑based.
