Linux Red Hat Engineer L3

Dublin 2 Office – 2 days per week in office

€75,000 – €80,000 per year

• 
  
• First point of contact for identifying, prioritising and resolving Red Hat Linux incidents in both production and non-production environments.
  
• Supporting and maintaining Red Hat Linux environments to ensure 24x7 availability.
  
• Deploying, supporting and troubleshooting issues with RHEL systems on‑premise and in Microsoft Azure.
  
• Maintaining a good understanding of the VMware platform to troubleshoot server issues effectively.
  
• Administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8 and 9 OS installs, patching & troubleshooting.
  
• Hosting and supporting SAP instances in a Red Hat Linux environment and assisting the SAP Application team as required.
  
• Hosting and supporting DB2 and Oracle databases.
  
• Administering Red Hat Linux Satellite Server.
  
• Software implementation, troubleshooting and application management for Red Hat Linux.
  
• Adhering to best practice in relation to Cyber initiatives/improvements.
  
• Implementing high‑availability and disaster recovery for Red Hat Linux configurations.
  
• Automating and administering Red Hat Sys Admin tasks using Ansible/Puppet, Python and/or Bash Shell scripting.
  
• Supporting Linux networking, routing technologies.
  
• Managing small/medium projects or sections of larger projects and interacting with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.
  

• 
  
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
  
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other relevant IT industry accreditations.
  
• Familiarity with administering Ansible Automation Platform.
  
• Knowledge of OpenShift – Kubernetes, podman containers. xcfaprz
