About the role We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Data Engineer who will drive the extension of our web‑scale data ingestion and processing pipeline.
As a technical leader and subject matter expert, you will improve the scalability, robustness, and value of the pipeline while leveraging the latest cloud technologies and AI/ML models.
What you'll do
Build enterprise‑grade APIs, backend services, and data stores to enable our platform’s diverse use‑cases.
Ship commercial solutions that handle large‑scale workloads and deliver reliable performance.
Operationalize ML and big‑data workflows so risk‑intelligence, communications, and marketing teams can unlock insights.
Requirements
Strong industry experience – demonstrated career progression in software engineering.
Design, implement and maintain complex architectures that others consume, including microservices and databases.
Experience with distributed compute and big‑data performance challenges; familiarity with serverless AWS components such as API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, and DynamoDB.
Modern backend expertise – building services in Python, Rust or Go, and understanding CRUD, GraphQL and microservice patterns.
Computer science or related degrees (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
Collaborate closely with product and sales teams to translate complex business needs into intuitive, performant tools.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, set coding standards, guide architectural decisions, and foster a culture of collaboration.

The Senior Backend Engineer / Data Engineer position offers a base salary range of $150,000 to $240,000, along with equity and comprehensive benefits.
This range serves as a guideline; actual total compensation may vary based on experience, qualification, and location.
