Structural Design Engineer

Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a structural design engineer with two to five years' relevant experience for a permanent position within our expanding buildings team in Dublin.

Location: Sandyford, Dublin 18 or Santry, Dublin 17

You will be part of a team recognised for delivering high quality, cost-effective and sustainable building projects across a range of sectors, including residential, healthcare, education and commercial.

Your key duties will include:

• Liaison with clients, design teams and contractors
  
• Site monitoring
  
• Project management
  
• Structural surveys and reports
  

• 
  
• Honours degree in structural or civil engineering (Level 8 qualification in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
  
• Two to five years' postgraduate experience with a professional design consultancy working on buildings-related projects
  
• Strong safety ethic
  
• Good organisational skills
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  
• Excellent attention to detail
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills
  
• Ability to work within a team or on your own under guidance
  
• Fluency or a high level xcfaprz of proficiency in spoken and written English
  
• Full and clean driving licence
  
• Experience of MasterSeries or similar structural design and analysis software
  
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
  
• Knowledge or experience of BIM/REVIT
  
• Knowledge and experience of design in accordance with Eurocodes for concrete, steel, masonry, timber and foundations
