About
OneTouch is seeking a senior PHP software engineer to build and modernize customer‑critical capabilities in the OneTouch platform by incrementally migrating legacy PHP into well‑structured Laravel services, improving reliability, performance, and maintainability in a multi‑tenant environment. In addition, this role will be responsible for feature development and working as a lead developer for a full stack scrum team focused on specific platform functions.

- Deliver features in Laravel while progressively extracting/rewriting legacy PHP into modular components.
- Refactor legacy code: introduce clear boundaries, reusable domain modules, and consistent patterns.
- Improve data access: reduce over‑fetching, optimise slow queries, and safely work around/through legacy schemas and stored procedures.
- Strengthen multi‑tenant safety: enforce tenant isolation, permissions, auditability, and secure defaults.
- Raise engineering quality: tests where it matters (unit/integration), code reviews, CI discipline, pragmatic documentation.
- Partner with product, QA, and ops to ship predictably and reduce incidents/regressions.
- Strong PHP and Laravel experience (real production delivery).
- Practical experience modernising legacy systems (strangler pattern, incremental refactor, migrations without “big bang” rewrites).
- Solid SQL skills (performance tuning, query plans, indexes basics, working with ugly schemas).
- Testing mindset and ability to improve quality without slowing delivery.
- Clear communicator; comfortable working in a PE‑backed, outcome‑driven environment.
- Experience with multi‑tenant SaaS patterns and data partitioning strategies.
- Observability mindset (logging, metrics, tracing) and production debugging.
- API design (REST), auth patterns (OAuth/JWT), and background jobs/queues.
