Call Center Mail Associate

Financial Services

$19.00 per hour

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00 pm

Columbus, Ohio (onsite)

Open-Ended Contract

What You’ll Do:

  • Process returned mail under the direction of a Member Services Manager or Supervisor
  • Open, sort, review, research, route, and process returned mail in accordance with established guidelines
  • Identify and interpret indicators such as undeliverable notices, forwarding addresses, and deceased member notifications
  • Research and verify updated member contact information using approved internal systems and external tools
  • Accurately update demographic information in internal databases on time
  • Route returned mail and related documentation to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain logs and reports tracking mail volumes, actions taken, and resolution outcomes
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, potential fraud indicators, and complex or sensitive cases to supervisors
  • Assist with additional demographic updates, clerical tasks, and administrative support as assigned
  • Participate in required training, quality assurance reviews, and audits to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Support the reduction of administrative backlog and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Member Services Center

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data privacy, information security, and records retention standards
  • Ability to follow written procedures and perform repetitive, processdriven tasks with a high level of consistency
  • Proven ability to handle and safeguard confidential information
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact courteously and professionally with internal and external contacts
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and standard office equipment
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to meet business needs; occasional evenings, weekends, or nonstandard hours may be required
