About
Ownership: Define how AI solutions are designed, built, and scaled across the business
Skills, Experience, Qualifications, If you have the right match for this opportunity, then make sure to apply today.
Impact: Work on AI systems that go into production for real enterprise clients
Environment: Early-stage AI Innovation Lab with strong backing and a team moving fast
Autonomy: Trusted to make architectural decisions, choose the right tech, and guide teams
This isn’t one of those “architect in title only” roles.
You’ll stay close to the tech, but instead of building features, you’ll shape how AI solutions are designed, deployed, and scaled across a business going all-in on AI. They’re building out an AI Innovation Lab in Dublin, and this role sits right in the middle of it.
What’s the role actually about?
- Design production-ready AI systems (not just POCs)
- Navigate architecture and security reviews
- Define how AI should be built across the company
- Turn client problems into real, usable AI solutions
There’s also a client-facing side, working with stakeholders to understand what they need and translating that into something that actually works.
So it’s part architect, part engineer, part problem solver. What kind of background works here?
You’ll likely come from a strong engineering background and have naturally moved towards architecture.
What tends to work well:
- Experience building AI/LLM-based systems (RAG, agents, etc.)
- Strong cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
- Solid understanding of APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure
- Comfortable designing systems that actually go to production
- Able to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
If you’ve:
- Built AI apps that people actually use
- Thought about scalability, cost, and security
- Worked across teams or with stakeholders
You’ll be in a good spot.
What you’ll be doing day to day
- Designing end-to-end AI architectures
- Working with LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph, and modern AI tooling
- Helping standardise how AI solutions are builtSupporting teams through delivery and deployment
- Getting involved in pre-sales / solution shaping
- Driving better engineering practices around AI
What this isn’t
- Not a pure coding role
- Not a pure “draw diagrams and step away” architect role
- Not a research-only AI position
You’ll sit in the middle, hands-on when needed, but focused on the bigger picture. xcfaprz
The team
- Strong Python + AWS background
- DevOps support in place
- Product already on-site
- Everyone moving towards being AI-first
It’s early days in Dublin, which means:
- Things move fast
- There’s a bit of chaos (in a good way)
- Plenty of room to shape how things are done
What they care about
- People who get things done
- Not overly rigid — things will evolve
- Comfortable figuring things out as you go
- Can think in terms of solutions, not just tech
Why it’s interesting
- Exposure to a wide stack (AWS, Azure, Nvidia, etc.)
- Real influence on how AI gets built across the business
- Strong backing and investment in AI
If you’re a senior engineer leaning into architecture, or already operating at that level and want more scope and impact, lets have a chat!
