Associate Software Developer

The Associate Software Developer plays a key role in delivering and supporting our product integrations and services. This individual works within cross-functional teams alongside product managers, software engineers, and QA analysts to implement, maintain, and support integration features that enable customers to seamlessly connect and exchange enterprise data across our solutions. The role requires hands‑on involvement in troubleshooting, operational support, and continuous improvement of integration workflows, in addition to feature development. The ideal candidate has working knowledge of software technologies such as Java, SQL, and iPaaS frameworks, and brings strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Clear communication and a customer‑support mindset are essential for collaborating with internal teams and ensuring reliable, high‑quality integration experiences for our customers.

• Become an expert in all VelocityEHS Integrations CoE offerings and solutions
  
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager of Software Development and the VP of Technology
  
• Provide L1/L2 technical support for applications and integrations, including monitoring, incident triage, and issue resolution
  
• Analyze and troubleshoot data issues using SQL queries and logs
  
• Operate and maintain standard support tools (ticketing systems, monitoring dashboards, job schedulers)
  
• Support file‑based and API‑based integrations by validating data, rerunning jobs, and identifying failures
  
• Communicate clearly with internal teams and customers regarding incidents, status updates, and resolutions
  
• Follow documented runbooks and contribute to improving support documentation and knowledge base
  
• Work closely with global development, QA, and operations teams in an Agile/Scrum environment • Escalate complex issues to engineering teams with clear analysis and reproduction steps
  
• Completing delegated tasks, maintaining strict adherence to product roadmap schedule
  
• Updating Manager and teammates with necessary information to achieve end goals

• Bachelor’s or College Degree in Computer Science, Programming or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  
• 2+ years coding
  
• Ability to debug and solve complex data problems.
  
• Superior oral and written communication skills
  
• Ability to work outside standard hours for special projects
  
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including product managers, software developers, and QA analysts
  
• High attention to detail
  
• Superb critical thinking and creative problem‑solving abilities
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• 2+ year’s knowledge of Java
  
• 1+ year’s knowledge of RESTful APIs, Batch data processing
  
• 1+ year’s knowledge of SQL database
  
• 1+ year’s knowledge of Software Testing a plus
  
• 1+ year’s knowledge of IPAAS Testing a plus
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write supporting technical documentation
  
• Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  
• Passionate and intimately knowledgeable about all things integrations and data
  
• Flexible and able to work within established branding and product specs
  

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market‑based salary ranges. The range for this position is between €47,100 and €58,450 (EURO). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the salary range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate's proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is also eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
