About

We are looking for a
Data Scientist
to join the Global Data Science & AI team and support the Data & AI function in driving strategic business decisions through advanced analytics solutions designed for production and scale. The team is responsible for addressing a wide range of business questions by applying sophisticated statistical and data science techniques, working closely with business stakeholders across multiple categories and geographies.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high impact analytics projects, collaborate with cross functional partners, and translate complex data into actionable insights that inform decision making at both global and regional level.
Based at the
Alba offices , the role offers the possibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
Main Responsibilities: As a Data Scientist, you will analyze a variety of data sources, including sales, marketing and media, promotions, pricing and macroeconomic indicators, and develop statistical models to answer business questions coming from multiple stakeholders across categories and geographies.
In this role, you will develop, test and roll out statistical and machine learning models to support data driven decision making, working closely with IT, business stakeholders and other roles within the Data & AI function. Depending on project needs, you may also collaborate with external agencies as well as data and solution providers.
You will design and implement procedures to clean, structure and classify data from disparate sources such as retail sell out, eCommerce sales, digital shelf metrics, shopper behavior data, consumer surveys, marketing data and other third party datasets, ensuring data readiness for modeling and reporting.
To increase efficiency in recurring analytical activities, you will script automation workflows for analytical pipelines and apply MLOps principles across the model lifecycle, including deployment, monitoring and drift detection. You will work in Power BI to visualize analytical results for business stakeholders and, in some cases, design and test UI solutions that enable users to independently run models and explore results. In addition, you will build and optimize GenAI applications to address different business needs.
Working as part of a team of data scientists, you will collaborate, exchange ideas, share knowledge and contribute to the continuous development of analytics capabilities within the organization.
About You: You hold a master’s degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field, and bring previous experience in applied data science roles, ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
You have a solid understanding of statistical modeling techniques and advanced analytical concepts, including regression, classification, text mining and ensemble methods such as Random Forest, and you are comfortable working with Python and SQL and using Power BI to visualize analytical results and support business stakeholders.
Experience working with external data sources such as Nielsen, Circana and consumer surveys, together with an understanding of measurement methodologies and familiarity with GenAI concepts and LLM integration, will be considered an asset.
You are fluent in English and bring strong communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with business stakeholders and interpret analytical results from a business perspective.
