Senior Software Engineer

Salary €75,000 - €95,000

Our client, a financial company based in the heart of Dublin, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days in the Dublin office weekly, and places you at the heart of transformative software initiatives across the wider group.

In this critical role, you will lead the development and maintenance of high‑quality software solutions using object‑oriented programming principles. You will have your voice heard in the design, definition, and sustaining of a software architecture that encourages reusable, scalable solutions across multiple projects.

Collaboration is key: you will work closely with team members and stakeholders to refine software requirements, ensure coding standards through rigorous code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices. Your expertise will be vital in troubleshooting complex software issues as they emerge.

Transformation is at the heart of this business, and you will lead the charge of migration and modernisation for technologies used by the end client on a daily basis.

• Extensive experience in object‑oriented software development.
  
• University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) related to computer science.
  
• 5+ years as a hands‑on Java, C#, Python or C++ engineer solving complex problems.
  
• Strong grasp of SOLID design principles.
  
• Previous exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools in an Agile environment.
