Senior Software Engineer - Permanent
Location: Dublin | Model: Hybrid
Salary €75,000 - €95,000
Our client, a financial company based in the heart of Dublin, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing team. This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days in the Dublin office weekly, in return it will place you at the heart of transformative software initiatives across the wider group.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions using object-oriented programming principles.
- Contribute to design, definition and sustaining a software architecture that encourages reusable, scalable solutions across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to refine software requirements and ensure coding standards through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.
- Troubleshoot complex software issues as they emerge.
- Lead the migration and modernisation of technologies used by the end client on a daily basis. xcfaprz
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Object-Oriented software development.
- Bachelor's OR Master's degree in a field related to computer science
- 5+ years as a hands-on Java, C#, Python or C++ Engineer — not just coding but solving complex problems
- Strong adherence to SOLID design principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL and PostgeSQL
