Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid) - 3 days in office
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience: Mid-Senior
Reports to: Director, Product Management
RapidRatings is a financial technology company on a mission to make the global economy more transparent and resilient. We provide quantitative financial health intelligence that helps enterprises understand the true condition of their suppliers and business partners - enabling smarter risk decisions across complex, global supply chains.
We are seeking a Business Analyst to sit at the intersection of product and engineering - translating product requirements into actionable delivery. This is a hands‑on role for a practitioner who is equally comfortable shaping a PRD with a PM and running a backlog grooming session with a scrum team.
Key Responsibilities
PRD Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers to develop and refine Product Requirements Documents - contributing the analytical depth and functional detail that bridges strategic intent with engineering‑ready specification. Own the quality and completeness of requirements before they reach the team.
User Story Authorship: Translate PRD requirements into well‑structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge case documentation. Ensure that what engineering builds matches what the product team intended - with nothing lost in translation.
Product Owner Responsibilities: Act as the Product Owner on assigned scrum teams — managing and prioritising the backlog, participating in sprint ceremonies, answering day‑to‑day clarifying questions from engineering, and making real‑time scope decisions within the boundaries set by the PM.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, QA, designers, and operations to ensure shared understanding of requirements. Identify gaps, surface ambiguities early, and resolve blockers that would otherwise slow delivery.
Delivery Quality: Own the integrity of the what‑to‑how translation. Requirements that reach engineering should be clear, complete, and testable — not a starting point for further interpretation.
What We're Looking For
3–5+ years in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role within an agile software development environment
Proven experience bridging the BA‑to‑PO function - you've written the stories and run the ceremonies
Strong requirements documentation skills - user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and edge case analysis
Comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, delivery‑focused environment with competing priorities
Analytical mindset - you ask the right questions before writing a single requirement
Clear, precise communicator across technical and non‑technical audiences
Familiarity with B2B SaaS products; fintech or data‑intensive platforms a plus
Experience with agile tooling - Jira, Confluence, or equivalent
Who You Are
You know what good requirements look like because you've seen what happens when they're bad. You're the person engineers come to when something doesn't make sense - and you have an answer. xcfaprz You're as comfortable in a product strategy conversation as you are in a sprint review, and you take pride in the quality of what lands in front of the team.
