Job Description Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Georgia is looking for a Level 3 Full‑Stack Applications Engineer to power the digital backbone of the C‑130 Hercules and the F‑35 Joint Strike Fighter assembly and test facility. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will build modern, scalable web apps with React, Angular, .NET Core, Node.js, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud services, turning complex production data into intuitive interfaces that streamline workflows and boost efficiency. You will collaborate directly with Production Operations, shadowing on the shop floor and attending business meetings to identify pain points and rapidly prototype solutions. Your code will support a world‑class defense platform in a mission‑critical environment.
Responsibilities
Develop, test, deploy, and support full‑stack applications that enable production operations use cases.
Design data pipelines and database solutions to integrate manufacturing systems and automate workflow processes.
Build full‑stack web applications to streamline data collection and management across production systems.
Create real‑time dashboards and data visualizations that enable leadership and floor supervisors to make informed decisions.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a U.S. security clearance with a clean background check in accordance with Defense Contractor requirements.
Location: facility that requires special access.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing full‑stack web applications using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, .NET Core, or Node.js.
Familiarity with DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment and scaling.
Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL querying, and API design (REST/GraphQL).
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with non‑technical staff, gathering requirements and translating them into user‑centric software solutions.
Prior work in a regulated or high‑security environment (DoD, aerospace, or defense) (desired).
Proven track record of implementing user‑centered design and usability testing, turning customer feedback into iteratively refined interfaces (desired).
Expertise in designing and maintaining ETL/Data‑pipelining solutions to ingest, transform, and load production data for analytics and reporting (desired).
Python skills for building backend services, data‑processing pipelines, and automation scripts (desired).
Exposure to manufacturing execution systems and industrial platforms, with hands‑on experience integrating web applications to include SAP, Apriso, and Autotime (desired).
Security Clearance Position requires a government security clearance. Clearance level: Secret.
