About
Provide technical vision and hands‑on expertise to execute platform solutions.
Cloud computing infrastructure, including scale, performance, and cost management.
Gather technical requirements, validate architecture, and create/review designs.
Coordinate efforts across the data engineering, data curation, and platform engineering teams to successful completion.
Guide engineering resources towards code standards and templates as part of data frameworks and patterns.
Demonstrate ownership of technical stacks for individual cloud applications.
Align with AbbVie systems lifecycle standards and processes.
Ability to manage time and deliver results across multiple workstreams at once.
Work with team members from around the globe (onsite, offshore).
Onsite position/2 days a week WFH eligible.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Applications and ten years of IT experience. A master’s degree with eight years of IT experience is also acceptable. Foreign equivalent degrees are accepted.
Required experience: eight years of hands‑on technical proficiency in Python, Apache Spark, and SQL; AWS development with core services such as EC2, Glue, Spark, S3, Redshift, and Athena; relational and non‑relational databases; building data‑engineering pipelines using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Glue ETL; developing API architecture; and managing metadata, data quality, master data, and data lineage.
Additional required experience: three years as a Technical Project Owner and three years as a Team Lead.
Benefits & Compensation Salary Range: $117,957 – $178,500 per year.
