ABOUT US: Ascensus Global, Inc. POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking experienced bilingual interpreters to support a customer in Charlottesville, VA. In this role, interpreters will provide in-person, and occasionally remote, support for new hires during onboarding and training, as well as assist with department meetings and company briefings. New hire training will focus on workplace safety to help ensure a safe and efficient work environment.


Languages Needed: Dari, French, Mandarin, and Spanish.


This is a freelance contract position and will be assigned as needed.

Requirements:


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide on-site interpretation with human resources for employee onboarding processes, company meetings, department training, safety protocols, equipment handling, and OSHA requirements.
  • Act as a real-time interpreter between management and staff to facilitate daily operations, interviews, performance reviews, and briefings.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: N/A


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English and one of the foreign languages.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in interpretation and training, preferably within a distribution center environment.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills,

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional Interpreter Certification or similar accreditation is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Work hours will align with the customer's operating schedule.

Pay Range: Salary will be determined based on factors such as education, geographic location, contract labor category, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
