About

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in our imaging department. As a CT Technologist, you will perform a full range of CT examinations on patients of varying ages and conditions, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment in a fast-paced clinical environment. Working with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment, follow established imaging protocols, and ensure high-quality images while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams by explaining procedures, screening for contraindications such as allergies or implanted devices, positioning patients correctly, and administering contrast agents as directed. You will verify orders, review patient histories, and adjust protocols within established guidelines to accommodate clinical needs and individual patient factors. The role also involves monitoring patients during and after contrast administration, recognizing and responding appropriately to adverse reactions or changes in status, and escalating concerns to the care team. You will maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and imaging systems, including exam details, contrast usage, dose indices, and any relevant clinical observations. As a member of a non-profit system committed to quality and safety, you will adhere to ALARA principles, radiation safety standards, and infection control practices, including proper use of shielding, verification of pregnancy status when appropriate, and routine equipment quality control checks. You will collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure optimal image quality, assist with specialized or emergent CT studies such as trauma, stroke, and interventional procedures, and help prioritize workflow to support rapid, safe patient care. The culture at Presbyterian Healthcare emphasizes patient-centered care, respect, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement, and you will be expected to demonstrate these values in every interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. You will participate in orientation of new staff or students as needed, support cross-training within the imaging team, and engage in ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge of CT techniques, contrast safety, and emerging best practices. Employees at Presbyterian Healthcare can expect a collaborative environment where input is valued, and you will have opportunities to contribute to quality improvement initiatives, departmental projects, and process enhancements that improve patient experience and clinical outcomes. This position is ideal for a technologist who is detail-oriented, compassionate, comfortable with technology, and committed to delivering high-quality imaging services in support of exceptional patient care and community health.
